The woman who answers the phone is the woman who runs your wedding.

Claudia Jewell owns Country Jewell. She leads every tour herself, and she is the one you talk to from your first question to the day you get married. There is no coordinator to be passed to and no team you have not met.

The chapel was a corncrib and tool shed in 1931. The reception barn went up in 1929. Both were renovated without stripping out what made them worth keeping, so the red oak, the original board walls, and the hay loft are all still there. Between the two buildings the property is landscaped with a gazebo, ponds, waterfalls, and meandering streams.

Off the beaten path, but minutes from lodging, restaurants, antiques, and Norris Dam State Park.

The Wedding Chapel

Built in 1931 as a corncrib and tool shed. Rustic red oak floors, original barn board walls, and simple benches. A stained glass panel adorns the window in the altar area. Heat and air conditioning throughout.

The Reception Barn

Built in 1929 and completely renovated with its original character intact. The old hay loft is still overhead. Tables and chairs are included, and heat and air conditioning are in here too.

The Gazebo

One of several places on the property to hold your ceremony outside. Twelve chairs are set out for outdoor weddings.

The Ponds & Waterfalls

One pond and waterfall sit just outside the reception barn. A second set of ponds with a double waterfall and meandering streams sits further out on the property.

The Serving Kitchen

A warming and serving kitchen with a refrigerator, oven, and microwave. All food is brought in prepared. Beer, wine, and champagne are permitted.

The Grounds

Landscaped across the whole property with several ceremony locations and photo opportunities. Guests have access throughout your rental.

Four packages

Plan it yourself from $1,800, or have all of it handled for you.

Diamond in the Rough is the most popular. You bring your own caterer, photographer, DJ, and officiant, and decorate the barn how you want it. Tables and chairs are included, and it runs $1,800 to $2,400 for up to 100 guests.

If you would rather not organize any of it, Dazzling Country Diamond and Romantic Ruby include the officiant, music, photographer, food, and cake. A quiet weekday ceremony starts at $750.

Availability

One wedding at a time, so the calendar is finite.

Country Jewell holds one wedding at a time. Saturdays go first, and couples booking a season ahead have the most to choose from.

Tours are by appointment and run about 30 minutes.
